Event Description

Know How to Answer Volunteers’ Question: ‘What’s in it for me?’

The “secret sauce” for the most successful special event fundraisers is your committee.  Learn what it takes to recruit, manage, and motivate this critically important group of volunteers so that they will be successful fundraisers for your organization.

Join Shiree Skinner, nonprofit development expert, for this practical training session. She will guide you through the steps of putting together an event committee that is prepared—and driven—to achieve your short- and long-term funding goals.

What’s more: Learn to reach beyond your immediate event’s attendance and fundraising objectives. A skilled event team can help you meet long-term strategic goals, such as engaging specific funders, cultivating Board Members, and integrating the event (or series of events) into your major gift development plan.

If you attended Skinner’s January 2018 webinar, “Strategies for Successful Special Events,” this is a great continuation of that topic. If not, don’t worry. This stand-alone presentation will prepare you to train a team of volunteers to go the extra mile for your organization.
