Event Description

Navigating the Federal Grant Requirements Under the New Uniform Guidance Rules

Federal grant awards come with complex compliance requirements. Navigating the terrain of federal grant requirements under the new Uniform Guidance that governs compliance and having a Single Audit can be confusing.

Where do you begin? How can you make sure your organization is in compliance? How can you prepare for a Single Audit? What happened to OMB Circular A-133? These are the questions you must find answers to!

This program by expert speaker Carol Barnard will help federal grant recipients understand the basics of what is required for compliance under the new Uniform Guidance, how to best approach internal control design in a federal grant environment, and how to prepare for being audited.

Session Highlights:

  • Single Audit requirements and what you need to know about the recent changes under Uniform Guidance, including new thresholds, new procurement requirements, public access to the reports, and others.
  • 12 areas of required compliance, including cash management, period of performance, and sub-recipient monitoring.
  • In depth on allowable/unallowable cost guidelines.
  • COSO framework for developing internal controls over compliance.
  • What your auditor is looking for in a Single Audit?
