Identify Funding Opportunities for Preventing and Combating Bullying

The bullying epidemic continues to grow, despite extensive attention from the media and resources to help lessen the occurrences. Every week, it seems a new horrifying bullying event is uncovered by the media, like the unsettling case of a California middle schooler who committed suicide after being bullied by her classmates. The number of suicides has gone up startlingly across the United States, especially among teenage girls, over the past few years. The rate in 2015 was the highest for females for 1975–2015, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The sad fact is, while many of these events are uncovered and rectified, many still go unreported. There is also emerging recognition of female on female bullying. Is this type of bullying as prevalent as male bullying and what are ways to combat it?

Join this session with expert speaker Frank Klimko who will get you involved in the movement to combat bullying by providing insights on the leaders. Frank will discuss the emerging recognition of female on female bullying and ways to combat it. He will also discuss the funding opportunities, including outside-the-box and upcoming programs, and influential reports, and resources that are shaping these initiatives. He will offer proven techniques, resources and insights on the crucial private and federal funders that have joined the effort and are making an impact on the situation – and focused on making an even bigger impact through funding quality programs.
