The Administration for Children and Families (HHS) offers the final revised rule that guides its runaway and homeless youth grant funding, including the popular Basic Center (CFDA Number: 93.623), Transitional Living and Maternal Group Homes (CFDA Number: 93.550) and Street Outreach (CFDA Number: 93.557) programs. These programs are overseen by ACF’s Family and Youth Services Bureau The Basic Center initiative supports programs that meet the immediate needs of runaway and homeless youths up to age 18 and their families, including emergency shelter, food, clothing, counseling and referrals for health care. The Transitional Living program provides a safety net and strong emotional support system for homeless youths, ages 16-22, through long-term residential services.
