Western States to Benefit from Watershed Program

Through WaterSMART, Reclamation works cooperatively with Western states, tribes and local entities as they plan for and implement actions to increase water supply through investments to modernize existing infrastructure and attention to local water conflicts. This program contributes to the WaterSMART strategy by providing funding to watershed groups to encourage diverse stakeholders to form local solutions to address their water management needs.

Bereavement Centers Can Receive Funding

The program funds bereavement support services and grief counseling for children and teens who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or loved one. The foundation gives strong preference to independent bereavement centers and camps that: are not affiliated with a hospice or hospital; demonstrate a commitment to the use of community trained volunteers; and have multicultural competence in addressing children and adolescent’s bereavement needs.
