(SENIORS) Tufts Focuses Funding on Active Living (MA, RI)

(Deadlines: Jan 25 and June 1) The Tufts Health Plan Foundation, funds Massachusetts and Rhode Island programs: (1) elevating the physical, mental and emotional well-being of older adults (age 60 and older); (2) enabling them to contribute their experiences and knowledge to their communities; and (3) ultimately helping older adults live longer, healthier lives.

The foundation makes grants in three healthy aging areas:

  1. Vibrant Lifestyles, programs to improve the physical and mental health of senior citizens and to increase their social, civic, and/or community engagement.
  2. Intergenerational Collaboration, programs to enrich the health and well-being of both older adults and young people.
  3. Keeping Our Seniors Safe, programs to prevent injury from falls and programs of support for family and other informal caregivers.

501 (c)(3) nonprofits and accredited colleges and universities based in or primarily serving Massachusetts and Rhode Island are eligible for funding.

Applicants must first submit a letter of inquiry in order to be considered for a full proposal. The foundation doesn't set a minimum or maximum dollar amount for grants.
