(NUTRITION) Jewel-Osco Focuses on Nutrition

(Deadline: Rolling) Grocery chain Jewel-Osco provides funding for the following three types of endeavors through its corporate giving program: hunger relief, nutritional education and environmental stewardship. Nonprofits in Illinois and Indiana with Jewel-Osco stores in their communities can apply for funding.

Hunger relief funds focus on food distribution, awareness of food programs and related social services. Nutritional education grants go to promote health and wellness awareness, education and programming and disease management and prevention through diet. Environmental stewardship funding engages environmental issues and concerns through education, community clean-up efforts and related activities.
