(Deadline: Dec. 4) The Regence Foundation, the corporate foundation of health insurer Regence, offers a new award to recognize leadership in palliative care. The foundation's Sojourns Award includes a $50,000 cash grant to honor inspirational organizations and leaders in the field, promote their innovations, and stimulate public dialogue about the important role that palliative care plays in the healthcare system.
Individuals and nonprofits located in Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington are eligible to be nominated for the award. Four $50,000 award recipients will be selected--one from each eligible state. Award recipients that are nonprofit organizations will receive the cash grant directly; individuals must designate a nonprofit to receive the grant.
