The program funds statewide collaboration to address the growing problem of heroin and other opioid abuse. These collaborative efforts will increase efforts to investigate illicit activities related to the distribution of heroin or unlawful distribution of prescription opioids, or unlawful heroin and prescription opioid traffickers through statewide collaboration. Strong applications will: demonstrate a multijurisdictional reach and participation in interdisciplinary team structures; and include multi-year state level primary treatment admissions data for heroin and other opioids.
The CAMP grantees will use these funds for anti-methamphetamine investigative activities. Strong applications will: (1) demonstrate a multijurisdictional reach and participation in interdisciplinary team structures like task forces; and (2) include multi-year state level methamphetamine seizure data as support for their proposal.
