Applications Now Due on May 15

The grantees will establish and manage IDAs for low-income refugees, who will set specific saving goals. These include home ownership, business capitalization, vehicles for educational or work purposes, professional certification and education. Grantees may use ORR funds to provide matches for the savings in the IDAs of up to $2,000 per individual refugee and $4,000 per refugee household.

The American Cancer Society is still accepting applications for $200,000 awards under its The Role of Health Policy and Health Insurance in Improving Access to and Performance of Cancer Prevention, Early Detection, and Treatment Services. Nonprofits, in conjunction with investigators, can apply for the funding program.

Walmart and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation will offer the solicitation for its 2018 Acres for America program in January or February of next year, with a deadline expected in early spring. The popular program funds the purchasing and preservation of one acre of wildlife habitat in the United States for every acre developed by Walmart.
