Federal lawmakers and the Trump White House have reached agreement on a $1 trillion package to fund the government for the final five months of this fiscal year, thus averting a government shutdown, according to sources close to the negotiations. Congressional negotiators labored through the weekend to resolve the final details in the funding bill.
