Nearly $53 Million Awarded to Curb Lead-Based Paint Hazards

HUD awards more than $52.6 million in Lead Based Paint Hazard Control grants to 23 local and state government agencies. The grant funding is aimed at reducing the number of children with elevated blood lead levels, and protecting families by targeting health hazards in over 2,800 low-income homes with significant lead and other home health and safety hazards.

Small Business Admin. Names 21 Recipients of FAST, SBTDC Awards

The Small Business Administration is awarding up to $125,000 in grants to 16 Federal and State Technology (FAST) Partnership Program recipients including state and local economic development agencies, business development centers, colleges, and universities. SBA is also awarding up to $200,000 in grants to five Small Business Technology Development Centers to support programs for innovative, technology-driven small businesses.
