The funds support statewide and local coalition-building efforts focused on intensified outreach activities to help beneficiaries likely to be eligible for the Low Income Subsidy program, Medicare Savings Program, Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D), and in assisting beneficiaries in applying for benefits.
Funded centers will identify and tailor informational materials and innovative strategies designed in a culturally competent manner to alert racial, ethnic minority and LBGT older individuals and their families how to prevent financial exploitation.
