22-Year-Old Moves Into Senior Living Retirement Community

Thanks to a partnership between Deerfield Retirement Community in Urbandale, IA, and the Drake University music department, 22-year-old Haley Jenkins will be spending the spring semester as a resident of Deerfield in return for a little musical entertainment. “I’ll perform twice a month for residents and in return, I get to live here rent-free,” Jenkins says. “I’m officially the youngest senior living resident in Iowa.”

GSA Successfully Launches ICAMP; Four More Academies Slated

The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) conducted its inaugural offering of the Immunization Champions, Advocates & Mentors Program (ICAMP) Academy in Rosemont, IL, in October, welcoming more than 50 immunization champions from a variety of healthcare settings.
