We need a self-starting, energetic, experienced hard-news reporter to cover developments in funding for substance-abuse treatment and prevention. You would take over an established, respected weekly newsletter and have the chance to cover Capitol Hill, the White House, Cabinet departments, trade associations, advocacy groups, lobbyists and other sources inside and outside the Capital Beltway.

We're looking for an aggressive Washington-based writer with solid deadline reporting experience who can cover the budget process, legislation, policy and programs - someone who will cultivate and keep in constant touch with top sources.
