    Budget: Rural Housing
Farm labor housing would see a boost in funding. The program administered out of the Agriculture Department’s Rural Housing Development section would receive $38 million for Section 514/516 farm labor housing programs -- $24 million and $14 million respectively.

Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly and Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities programs would receive $526 million, a $14 million drop from the FY 2012 authorization but about level with the now-shelved FY 2013 request.

    Budget: Public Housing, Homeless
Under the president’s budget plan, public housing operations and basic maintenance efforts would receive $6.6 billion in FY 2014. While the sum looks substantial on its face, it is misleading. Worst Case Housing Scenario In CR
Aside from attention to military housing plans, the proposed stopgap law that will govern federal spending through FY 2013 gives short shrift to housing.
