The Office of Child Support Enforcement -- part of the Admin. for Children and Families at the Health & Human Services Dept. (HHS) -- wants to continue using the reporting standards for states and agencies which receive grants to help noncustodial parents have visitation access.
The $10 million Grants to States for Access and Visitation program funds projects which assist child visitation. These formula grants are sent to states, which make decisions on services that will be provided and which agencies and organizations will win subgrants. HHS wants to make sure the services the states promise are actually delivered, according to an April 17 Federal Register notice.
