Best Practices: Primary Care

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Group Health Research Institute in Seattle are developing a national program designed to identify creative "best practices" in the area of primary care.

The Primary Care Team: Learning from Effective Ambulatory Practices (the LEAP Project) will identify primary care practices that use innovative workforce policies to increase access to services, with the goal of developing models that can replicated elsewhere.

The models may involve changes in policy, workforce culture, training and education and other staffing functions that can improve primary care; the goal is to eventually develop a list of 30 best practices
