Omaha Performing Arts Society Settles ADA Complaint

The Justice Department has reached a settlement agreement with the Omaha Performing Arts Society (OPAS) to resolve alleged violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). OPAS was accused of failing to ensure that its theater was readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities and by failing to reasonably modify its ticketing policies.

The Department of Justice has launched a new Accessible Technology section for ADA.gov, its Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) website, to further assist covered entities and people with disabilities to understand how the ADA applies to certain technologies, such as websites, electronic book readers, online courses, and point-of-sale devices.
