Unique Geriatric LTC Program Graduates Its First Class

The first in the nation geriatric education program for long term care (LTC) nursing staff recently graduated its first class. The purpose of the program, based in Tulsa, OK, is to provide geriatric training to LTC non-clinical staff, certified nurse aides (CNAs), certified medication aides (CMAs), and nurses (LPNs and RNs) using the Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) program model.
