Education Dept. Secretary John King touts the Obama administration’s student aid successes throughout the month of March, highlighting new programs increasing higher education graduation rates. Since taking office, King pointed out that the administration has increased the maximum Pell Grant to the highest level ever, created the American Opportunity Tax Credit to give families up to $10,000 over four years of college and has allowed borrowers to cap their monthly student loan payments at 10% of their income. King said the current student aid programs help college students on their path to graduation with loan repayment options that allow them to pursue their dream careers and successfully manage their loans.
